As I trodded along, inhaling the fragrance of morning Jasmine in a forest; in a flash I saw the Sun. A single ray striking right on me. A Divine sight it was. I knew that something precious may happen today.
As events turned out, I had to visit Nalanda, the ancient seat of learning and divinity.
Inside the special chamber of the present day Nalanda University of Culture, I was given access to ancient Buddhist scrolls written in Gold and Silver.
Then the palm leaf scrolls enshrining the very essence of Buddha’s teaching.
A divine presence there certainly was in the chamber of the scrolls. Power of the written Divine word.
Then the ancient Nalanda University which prospered more than 1400 years ago. A seat of knowledge and research. Ten thousand students at any time and 108 monasteries.
A world of the learned ones in which I lived for this one day. A realm of the angels.
